FPUA partners recognized for exceptional performance
New Update: Wastewater Wednesday!
This week, we’re proud to celebrate another major milestone for FPUA’s Mainland Water Reclamation Facility. The project has received the ABC Florida East Coast Chapter Excellence in Construction Award, recognizing the quality, coordination, and commitment that went into bringing this state-of-the-art facility to life.
FPUA’s joint venture construction partners, Haskell and Globaltech, Inc., were recognized for their exceptional performance and collaboration throughout construction of the new facility. Their efforts helped deliver this transformative project on schedule and under budget while meeting the high standards expected of one of the largest infrastructure investments in FPUA’s history.
FPUA Project Manager Mike Martin attended the awards celebration and had the honor of bringing home the signature eagle trophy on behalf of the project team. Mike’s leadership, technical expertise, and dedication have been instrumental throughout the project, and this recognition reflects the tremendous amount of work required to successfully move a project of this magnitude forward.
FPUA is honored to see this work recognized, not only for the finished facility, but for the years of effort behind it. This award is a reflection of the many people working behind the scenes who contributed their expertise, coordination, problem-solving, and commitment along the way. From project management and operations to engineering, finance, procurement, administration, communications, and other supporting roles, this achievement represents a true team effort.
The WRF is an investment in the reliability, resilience, and future of wastewater service in our community. We are honored to see the work behind this project recognized and proud of the many people who helped make this achievement possible.
Also, we’d like to thank all of our partners, contractors, vendors, and crew who are helping us deliver this important project to our customers! FPUA is grateful for this project with industry leaders Globaltech, Inc., Haskell and Hazen, the site designers and build team; TLC Diversified, Inc., re-routing the conveyance system to redirect wastewater flows away from the Indian River Lagoon; Kimley-Horn, the conveyance system designers, and the sub-contractors working so hard to keep this project safe and on schedule.
We are also thankful for the partnership with the City of Fort Pierce in this infrastructure improvement effort that will benefit the Fort Pierce community for generations to come.
