Latest episode of One Lagoon, One Voice features FPUA’s Mike Martin
NEW UPDATE: Wastewater Wednesdays!
At Fort Pierce Utilities Authority, we are committed to protecting the Indian River Lagoon and preparing for the future of our community. A key part of that effort is relocating our wastewater treatment plant from South Hutchinson Island to a new inland site on Energy Lane.
In the latest episode of One Lagoon, One Voice: The Podcast, FPUA’s Mike Martin joins host Caleta Scott to share how this important project is moving forward. The conversation highlights the advanced treatment technology planned for the new facility, the steps we have taken to secure funding, and the benefits this work will bring to both the lagoon and the community we serve.

Additionally, earlier this week at the City of Fort Pierce Commission meeting, State Representative Dana Trabulsy announced that the state of Florida is investing in four projects to benefit our community, including $5 million in support of FPUA’s Mainland Wastewater Reclamation Facility.
This investment strengthens the progress already underway to relocate the plant to its future home on Energy Lane next to the Treasure Coast Energy Center. Once complete, the new facility will protect public health, preserve the lagoon, and provide reliable service for years to come.
We are grateful to Representative Trabulsy for her strong advocacy and continued commitment to Fort Pierce.
